In a remarkable grassroots initiative, 42 women from the villages of Gya, Sasoma, Meeru, and Lato came together to form Lalungma Dairy. Based in Gya Meeru, the group manages dairy operations from milk collection to processing with a strong focus on hygiene and quality. Through hands-on training, they have expanded into value-added products like desi ghee, paneer, and goat milk soap under the Lalungma brand. Today, the initiative supports over 150 households, creating sustainable income and empowering pastoral communities.
